Psych 166 waitlisted

im waitlisted for psych 166ac. my position is 78 with a limit of 300. currently 268 are enrolled with 32 available seats. however, im #2 on the waitlist for the section. since im on the top of the waitlist for section, do i have a high chance of getting in or should i just look at my #78 for the entire course? whats more important?

definitely look at the section waitlist. if you can get into section they will most likely/definitely make room for you in lecture. since they know people don’t show up a lot to lecture so it’s not like there aren’t seats lol.
i’d definitely wait it out, you can probably get in. how many seats are there in section?

theres 25 seats in section. currently theres 18 people enrolled and im 2nd on the waitlist

psych often goes by manual waitlist. therefore, section/lecture waitlist doesn’t matter at all. they will accomodate certain categories first (e.g., seniors w/ psych majors, seniors of other majors that may require that class, etc.). furthermore, for psych upper divs, it often doesn’t matter what section you attend, they often let you do soft-switches which makes it more likely for them to take certain categories first.
