Psych and poli sci double major UCLA Should I try? Can I try?

Sorry I have been posting on here so much, I'm trying to get my life figured out. So I have always been keen on doing psych as my major, but after spending some time on assist.org I see that the required courses for poli sci are within my grasp. Heck, I have two of em already done in an accelerated high school college program I did. So there's only four required courses left for the major (plus the igetcones, obviously), two of which are actually psych related (behavioral stats and psych research). I think I can do it, in fact I just did the math and I could do all the prep(refresher), IGETC, psych, and poli sci required courses in 5 semesters (one summer semester inculded). The average number of courses per semester would be around 3. I think I can do this. I really want to do this. I enjoy poli sci almost as much as I love psychology. And my prof for the two poli sci courses I took, 101 and 102, (A and B respectively), he said that I write better than he does (when i put my mind to it). I also applied for the honors program at my CC, and I will be an eagle scout after this thursday.

But both majors are impacted though so :/

I also feel like I might be overlooking something or underestimating the logistics here.

What do you think, guys?

Should I buckle down and go for it? Or would this be one big pain in the a**?

At 3 courses a semester you should be getting straight As and you should have no problem double majoring in them at UCLA.

Cool!

Yeah, its gonna be 3 or 4 classes per semester (fall 2012, spring 2013, fall 2013, spring 2014), and I’ll probably do only two classes in the summer 2013 semester.

Is this a good plan you think?

Yes, as long as you get straight As. I’d recommend doing honors classes too or if you are at a school that has a cool honors program, ask your individual professors if you can do an extra honors project so you can get honors credit in the classes. Since you have so many prereqs to complete in total, I’m sure you can convince at least 5 of them to let you do honors and then you can be an “honors student” and have TAP on your application.
