So, I've already been accepted to UT. It seems like a great school, but the only downfall (for me) that it has is a pretty huge one: it doesn't have the major I want. For all the other colleges I've applied to, I applied to be a neuroscience or cognitive science major. The closest they have to that at UT is Psychology Bachelor of Science. I haven't heard from any other colleges, but if I get rejected or if I can't get enough money I'll go to UT.

What is the Psych BS program like? How is it different from the Psych BA? Is it similar to a neuroscience degree?

Because neuroscience is generally an interdisciplinary study, you may need to look into biology or other departments in addition to psych to see if there is any combo degree plan that meets your interests. I’d dig into the 2010-12 catalog and then talk with the folks in the neuroscience grad program to see what they recommend for undergraduate curriculum.
