psych major?

i am starting pre med next year at either ucf or uf, but i have a huge question. (btw i know i can major in anything for pre med) would majoring in psychology be too much extra work when i'd have to fulfill the pre med prereqs also? would bio/chem be a better option? also, my ap chem teacher said colleges would look down that i majored in something easy like psych. thanks.

Take what you enjoy. Period.

i’m just wondering how much more of a courseload it would be.

it really wouldn’t be that bad. It depends on the school - but some of the pre-med stuff will function as your GE requirements, since most likely psych stuff wouldn’t qualify for some if it is your major. so it’s in your best interest to take them anyways. Just do what you love, as said above.
