What do you guys/gals think is better?

professors from more well-known schools or profs. from less prestigious schools?

One school I'm looking at has a good psych. program (internship programs, research opportunities, nice teachers), but most of their grads go to state schools etc. for graduate school and stay in the midwest.

The other school has an outstanding psych. program (internships, research, plus abroad research) and some of the grads go on to Harvard, Northwestern, U.Chicago, etc. Though, their teachers are a bit arrogrant...

Both send roughly 40 percent onto grad. school. The first one had a student who won (last year) a psy chi award in the Midwest Psych. Association Conference where the second one also attends.

If I go to grad. school for psych (or any other disciple) I want to GET OUT of the midwest (and live a little :) ). The second school sends a lot of their grads onto top tier (or at least more known/ prestigious) grad. schools.

I like psych and am taking an AP course right now, but I'm not 100% positive this is what I want to do for the rest of my life (i'm only 18 '-.-).

Oh, and if you're wondering why this is such a choice for me...I visited both schools and am currently preferring the first school. The people were nice, and friendly. The visit at the second school did not leave me with a good impression -at all. Some kids were nice, but there were some who just IRRITATED ME TO NO END (hosts...).

Though, I might be going back to the second school to give it a second chance because of their faculty and academic program (which are very good)...

Any advice would be kind. :)
