Do you believe in them? Have you ever been to one?

I don’t believe in them and I haven’t been to one. To be honest, I think they just guess and take your money:/

Psychics=rip-off

I personally don’t believe them. I know this girl who wasted hundreds of dollars talking to a “phone psychic,” who said nothing but vague things. From what I’ve seen, “psychics” just make general statements that are so broad that they can be interpreted by everyone in different ways. People who want to believe that psychic can help will hear the psychic’s words and put some value into it by looking at it metaphorically or seeing how it relates to their own personal experience. Anyways, that girl didn’t believe me, and is probably still spending a crapload of money on it.

i believe in physics

No, but this reminds me of that upcoming movie where the main character has visions detailing how certain people will die. And they’re pretty silly deaths, too. One of them dies from drowning in a car who’s sunroof is open in a car wash.

at first i thought this thread was titled as “physics” and i got excited for a second lol. i think there are some psychics out there that know stuff but i would never go to one/waste my money on them.

Eh, yes and no. I’ve recently started watching a show called Psychic Kids or something like that and it’s pretty interesting and seems legit. It’s definitely making me more open-minded but then the logical side of me makes me go, “how’s that even possible?!”

Yes and no.
There is one person I know who did some sort of celestial reading or something (I have no clue exactly what it was, a star chart or something?) on me and was so dead on with everything he told me, it was creepy. I mean, dude had me pegged and he didn’t know me well enough to get that much about me.

However, I think a lot of people who advertise themselves as psychics aren’t anything except for scammers. Remember Miss Cleo?

So I believe some exist, but most are fake.

I have never been to one, nor do I believe that they can actually do what they say. I think that they are a lot like horoscopes where they say such general things that if you think about it long enough, it will apply to you. The (logical/moral) advice that they give clients might help some people steer their lives in the right direction, but I still look at them as fakes.

By the way, I’ve always wondered, do they actually think, or convince themselves for that matter, that they are psychic or do they consciously rip you off? Mix of both?

^ probably more of the latter.

Anyway physic(ist)s > psychics anyday. It’s easy to think a “prediction” or whatever applies to you when it applies to everyone…

Hey, uh, if anyone is interested, I can tell your future for just three payments of 20$ on paypal. One-time offer, please message me if you’re interested! Completely legitimate offer. I normally charge $49.99, so don’t wait. Get your future told today!

Generally no, but I’ve always wanted to go to one and see. I mean, if I managed to get one that seemed really legit, I wonder what they would say.

lol cjgone.

And back on topic. I don’t believe in psychics who can predict the future but if some psychics who do crime scene investigations and can locate dead bodies seem pretty legit/weird. So I guess I kind of believe in those types of psychics.

^ except those leave out the hundreds of false predictions they make before they stumble upon a lucky one.

I think that they are certain people who do have “supernatural” powers that can see into the future/advise you or whatnot. However, I believe that this is a rare breed, and easily 90%+ are total quacks.
