How difficult/rigorous is the psychology coursework at Stanford? How does it compare to biological sciences?

What about sociology? Is it looked at as a fuzzy major? Is it a strong major at Stanford?

I know that Stanford's psychology program is top-notch (its graduate psych program is ranked the highest on USNews) so you can't go wrong with that. I dunno about sociology, but don't worry about it being a "fuzzy" major. Stanford has a reputation for being one of the strongest schools in the natural sciences and engineering, but many of its humanities departments are strong as well. Keep in mind that psychology is also considered a humanities/social science, so don't give up a possible major just because it's a "fuzzy" subject.
