Can anyone tell me about the psychology department at U-M. I have had a strong interest in psychology ever since I took the honors elective course at my school. I plan to major in psychology at U-M. My school didn't offer AP psychology at the time and I was wondering what it is like to be a psychology major at U-M? How is the faculty? How are the resources? Overall how was the experience? If these questions could be answered that would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t have any details, but in terms of reputation, Michigan’s Psych department is considered one of the best (ranked 3rd in USNWR).

My D is a psych major and loves the program. She has really liked her profs and found her courses very interesting. She has been especially happy with the research team she’s involved with through UROP. If you want to PM your email address, I’ll have her reply with more specific answers to your questions.

Though I’m not a big fan of rankings, you will always find U Mich’s psych program is one of the best whichever one you look at.
