Psychology degree careers

what are some decent paying jobs that psych majors can get out of college? or is higher education pretty much a must for this major?

Here is a link that may be of interest.

With only a bachelors degree, there aren’t many “decent” paying jobs “right” out of college. A well paying related job is human resource management, but internships are a must - very difficult career to break into for first-timers. I have a BA in psych and am working as a salaried HR manager. Other jobs include drug abuse counselors, behavioral techs, residential counselors - none of which pay particularly well.

Keep in mind that some of the options provided in the link above require an advanced degree - such as marriage counselor or psychiatrist (requires an MD). Others are hard to break into right out of college, such as admissions counseling.

Having internships and other relevant work/volunteer experience will be very important to helping land your first job.
