Hi, I’m a Psych & Economics double major right now. I’m only a freshman so I haven’t taken tons of classes yet, but it’s a great department. MANY BU students major in Psych, but the advising office does a great job with the huge group. It hosts an orientation before you get a Psych advisor. I do my advising through the Psych office rather than the Econ one. It’s worked out well. It’s easy to double major with too especially in the Social Scinces since it only requires 9 courses (besides the CAS requirements and divisional/CORE requirements)

For a general FAQ about requirements and description of courses, check out the Psycholgy Concentration portion of the CAS Bulletin at: [Psychology - BU 2009-10 Undergraduate Bulletin](http://www.bu.edu/bulletins/und/item13d45.html)

As for professors, people seem to like Shim, Ely, Lyons, Harris best overall. Generally, I hear good things about most of the professors. I’m taking Social Psych with Shim currently. He’s super entertaining during lecture. I would definitely recommend him. Belle’s supposed to be very organized and comprehensive as well. I took General Psych with Hofmann, who did a good job. He tried to insert jokes into lecture and explained topics clearly. I’m planning on taking Psych of Perception with Wantabe to start my Group A courses next semester. Ratemyprofessor tends to be a great resource for choosing classes. Of course, there will always be a negative comment or two…but the overall ratings work out well.

hey, thanks so much for all of the info! & i think i’ll consider double majoring, if that is the case :] thanks, again!
