My long term goal is to become a dermatologist. I’m currently in the process of applying to colleges and it dawned on me that I haven’t took the appropriate amount of time to look into a college major that would benefit my future goals. I want to know if such major and minor would help me in my journey to medical school and ultimately my role as a dermatologist. Thank you in advance
You could major in anything and become a dermatologist - music, art history, physics, etc. You will learn everything that you need to know about dermatology in medical school and in your internship and residency (and fellowship, if you do one), so your undergraduate major doesn’t matter so much in that regard. Psychology is a very popular undergrad major for med school hopefuls.
Most colleges do not have a physiology minor. The closest thing is probably biology.
