Hello. I just had a question with regards to the Psychology B.A. program (not the one with social behaviors) at UCI.

I was planning on taking this major because it is something that interests me. However, what I hope to do after college is, if I am permitted and if I had enough money and the right grades, to go to graduate school too. But for graduate school, I want to do something that is related to physical sciences.

With a psychology B.A. at UCI, would it be possible and likely for me to go to school to get my masters in something like Biology or Chemistry or something instead of getting a masters in psychology? Or would it only have to be psychology? Or maybe, if I have the right grades, go to med school? I know I have to get my prerequisites done such as 1 year of bio, 1 year of gen chem and ochem, 1 year of calculus, and 1 year of physics. But, is it possible to do these things?

ALSO, I am interested in researching and getting internships in labs. I know that Biological Sciences students get to have connections with those types internships with very small pay since they are in that major. I heard that they even get connections with their advisors who are well-known in their science fields. However, would it also be possible for me to intern in those types of research labs as a psychology major? Or would I have to major or minor in Biological Sciences in order for me to do that? Is it highly-likely or not-at-all likely for me to get an internship like that?

Does anyone have a close friend or know someone that has gone this route or similar to this route?

Thank you once again for your time!
