So I'm thinking of double majoring in either Econ/Psychology or Econ/Poli-Sci.
Which combination is better in terms of well-roundedness in education, preparation for the workforce, ease in finding a job?

I'd be impressed by taking on poli-sci more. It seems to work better than psychology now that a lot of corporations are going transnational. I'm sorry to all the psych majors out there, but there really are too many of you guys coming into the workforce o_o;;

...if you can manage to get into the courses. :(

hmmm...any other opinions?

hey yomino.yes im also trying to find it out.i think we should major in what is more interesting for us.what information did u find out?

yomino,

Neither. Neither one is "impressive." Majors, by themselves, are hardly ever impressive. Stop fussing about which major will impress employers more, and worry more about doing things outside of school (internships, work) that will impress employers.

lol i second that.

i think that if there were a psychology minor at UCLA, every single student should do it. psychology is THAT relevant. not saying poli sci isn't, but, psychology applies to everything!

it will help you in school. it will help you outside of school. it will help you after graduation, in your first job, in your career, and in any of your trillion encounters with people. if you plan to work with people, studying them is a darn good way to enrich your experiences!

that said, if psych isn't your thing, it's fine. it's not for everyone. take psych 10 as a starter course and evaluate it from there. you seem pretty set on econ as a major, so think of that as your post-college focus. think of your second major (or minor) as what YOU want to learn about while in college. for yourself. if it's relevant to you, it will be relevant to your course of study.
