Hi so online it doesn't say we need Bio1BL or Bio1AL does that mean we only need 1B and 1A but not the lab? or is it IMPLIED that we need to take the lab with the course?
Thanks!

most psych majors take bio 11 (and sometimes 11L) i think, talk to academic advising if interested. But I doubt any psych major would trouble themselves with Bio 1A, 1B, or 1AL if 11 was an option.

oh, and there’s no 1BL

that’s right, psych majors don’t need to take the lab portion. But o0o’s right, psych majors don’t typically take 1A/1AL just to fulfill that requirement… unless you have some other reason for taking it.

i just thought we have to take the lab portion
i guess i can pass fail 1AL then… less work…

heh… must take a lot of guts to take Bio 1A/1AL just for psych though… oh well, good knowledge.

Just to double check, you should drop by the psych student office to make sure 1AL isn’t necessary.

if youre not premed, i REALLY wouldnt put yourself through the hell of BIO 1A uless you enjoy being challenged out of your wits

yea… 1AL is WAYY too much work. doesn’t anyone know if it is possible to PNP 1AL but still keep 1A a course grade?

im saying even 1A is too much work. but you can p/np one and not the other.

1A is OKAY relatively.
definitely a lot of work, but 1AL? for a 2unit class that is not required? crazy amount of work.
bleh.
thanks for the info though everyone, i’ll double check with the psych office!
