Does anyone know how much training in psychology or psychiatry medical school students receive? Thanks.

Psychologists are not medical doctors; instead, they usually have a PhD in Psychology.

Psychiatrists must complete a minimum of 4 years of residency after graduating from medical school. If they wish to specialize in an area of psychiatry, they may need additional training.

I know that psychiatrists are MD's, but I was just curious if med students took any sort of training in psychology as a general ed requirement

In medical school, you do EVERYTHING. Every topic in medicine is covered, hence it is considered to be hard. Its not like college where you focus on certain things, you cover ever last thing.
