Psychology Study Abroad in London or Dublin

Hi all,

I've been recently researching universities in both London and Dublin for a study abroad trip in Fall 2013. I'm a psychology major and am looking at either University College London or Trinity College Dublin. I browsed around classes at Trinity for psych and the variety is fantastic, but I know UCL's psychology program is third in the UK. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one would be better both for psychology and student life in general? I would love to study in London, but Dublin seems fascinating too. I'm a bit concerned about costs, though considering both the euro and pound are ferocious in comparison to the dollar...I don't know what to think.

Also, on a more general grounds, have people found it to be better to apply directly to the university or to use a third party program (ie Arcadia or Butler)? Applying directly seems cheaper but I'm not sure.

Thanks for any help!

UCL is better than Trinity

I’ve only heard good things about UCL’s psychology department

London is more exciting and UCL’s student union is awesome

Dublin is rather boring and provincial

Living in London is cheaper

Applying directly is probably cheaper and you will have a better experience, but do some research to be sure.
