Public Apology

Dear Everyone,

I would like to publicly apologize about what I last posted. It was mean, unthinking, and offensive. I was in a very bad mood when I wrote it, and it came off as such.

I personally AM Jewish, and AM from the East Coast. So, I'm a definitely not antisemitic, I can promise you that. What I referred to McNutt as was a common joke amongst my friends. Most are from the East Coast, are Jewish, and find great humor in poking fun at themselves. I did not realize how this would come off to others in writing.

IU is one of the most accepting places I have EVER been. A common discussion here during Welcome Week was that no one could have ever imagined how NICE people were here. And frankly, it is STILL hard to believe how nice people are here. To everyone. People I know who used to face things such as discrimination, bigotry and the like at home now view IU as a safe haven from all that.

So, I truly would like to apologize. I never meant to come off that way, and I never meant for this to happen.

Sincerely,
Me

i dont recall what u did

Thank you so much. That apology was really gracious of you. Thanks also to the other posters. This post really speaks well for IU students and makes me glad my daughter will probably be one of them!
