<p>Then why wouldn’t you just stay in Canada?</p>

<p>I’d have to agree with peachaso here. I can’t think of one Canadian university that I wouldn’t choose over SUNY Geneseo.</p>

<p>Why do you like it so much? I tried to figure it out from there website but didn’t get far. On the surface I see a larger student-faculty ratio than colleges back east, $8k more per year in tuition and a giant hassle of US admissions, and only 15% diversity. Even though I’m an academic of several decades in US and Canada (including NY state!), I’ve not heard of it until CC so I wonder about coming back to Canada with an Geneso transcript. </p>

<p>But, having said that, I admit I don’t know much about it. Yet I’ve heard before others say this is a great public school. So, what sets it apart and makes it worth it?</p>
