Public LACs Ranked by OOS Tuition

The topic of lower cost Out-of-State (OOS) college options frequently comes up in this forum. Below I have compiled a list of public liberal arts colleges ranked by OOS tuition cost. These colleges are members of COPLAC, the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.

In-state tuition and fees are also listed for each college.

For additional information on COPLAC and the member colleges, please see: http://www.coplac.org/

Geneseo is consistently ranked as a top public LAC. This a great school, strong academics including the sciences, definitely should be on your list.

[SUNY Geneseo | SUNY Geneseo](http://Www.geneseo.edu)

No oversight there. It is it midway on the list.

Thanks, BobWallace. Nice list.

I live in Georgia and I somehow did not know that GCSU is a public LAC. How good is it?

Its interesting that a thread with four ( now five) replies, is HOT.

This is a list I found interesting: <a href=“Cheapest Out-of-State Colleges in 34 States - Do It Yourself College Rankings”>http://diycollegerankings.com/public-universities-with-lowest-out-of-state-tuition/978/ Bob, is there a list of the Public Universities ranked by OOS tuition?

So much has changed since my oldest went to college. Lots of good OOS public deals then. Many have jacked up their prices for OOSers since then especially my old favorites.

have you checked out the number of views? It is a hot thread. People are just keeping their thoughts on it to themselves.

I have a thread for research universities, but it is a year out of date - I will update when I get a chance.

<a href=“Research Universities with Lowest OOS Tuition - Financial Aid and Scholarships - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1473219-research-universities-with-lowest-oos-tuition.html

Bob, this off topic but I used to live in Huntsville, Alabama. Is that where the picture of the sign came from?

Aleyna - I live in GA too. Many kids in my area go to GA college. It has the 3rd highest stats of the GA public schools. 1) GA tech, 2) UGA 3) GA college.
No football team- seems a bit more intellectual and the kids I know that go there seem to really like it.
