Which major is more challenging at most schools? What is the main difference between the 2? Which would be better for careers in government as an advisor, etc?

political science deals more with actual government structure and national policy, as well as international relations. Public policy would go far more in depth on specific issues overall, like environmental policy, poverty policy, civil rights, public health etc. More studing the issues themselves.Much more interdisciplinary, and analytical?

If you had a specific issue in mind you wanted to work in or you wanted to be a lobbyist or something like that, I'd go with public policy. Also, you might want to major in political science and then get your MPP.
