I am interested in possibly pursuing a professional joint-degree after earning my BS. This would probably be a MD-JD or a MD-MBA, and I wonder what kind of careers I could pursue with this in the medical field. Personally, I have been looking at public policy. I wonder however, what other options would be open to me if I choose to go in this route. Thanks!

Not everybody at the same time, please! <---Sarcasm.

You could do research, maybe ethics law, ? With MBA some sort of administrative position? Open Wildflower Labs Inc. and be the CEO? You could ask some alumni at the schools you are looking at what they did with the degree.

lol, funny, but creative! There is health care law, although that's not what I am leaning towards.

Having an MD for administrative or public policy positions is not really necessary. It probably will not even make you a better candidate for such positions either. Those who elect joint programs know specifically how they will apply their MD.

http://www.md-mba.org/, also look into the studentdoctor.net forums for joint programs to see what other people are choosing to do with both degrees.
