Yeah public schools! does a jig Who thinks they're public school rocks, regardless of academic rigor! Who's with me!

I am......but I go to a private school..........:D

grrr

haha, I can tell this is a hit!

those losers. they don't know how  this thread is

i got your back. public school owns.

:-/

yeah, let's hear it for raggedy textbooks, underpaid teachers and lax standards!!!!!!

in all seriousness, i heart public school (well, not MY public school but that's for another place and time). adversity builds character.

Rawwr!

Ghetto books, itty bitty lockers, crowded, sweaty hallways, and un-enforced dress code ROCKS!

Seriously! I could never be happy in a private high school shudders Too rich for my blood. And I'd never wear the uniforms that some p.h.s' enforce. Nope, I'm more than happy with my diverse, adverse, beautifully spontaneous public high school!

RRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!

AHH first day of school starts in exactly 7 hours ><... and I'm still doing summerwork :P.

wow, summer is such a distant memory for me. school's been in for three weeks now.

it's kinda funny, we still haven't gotten our spanish or government textbooks yet. apparently they were ordered sometime during the summer...

Our spanish students don't even get textbooks because too many kids take it.

Rrrrrroooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrr

Public schools are great! I don't know about you all, but there's only one private school around my area, and they're just a bunch of weird people.

I went to a party that one of them hosted... around 50 ppl went, no parents at all... and the kids were just sitting around and chatting, sometimes standing around and chatting, catching a few bites to eat, watching CNN, etc. I mean seriously, it was like going to grab a school lunch at someone's house while having the news.

I go to a party that someone at [public] my school threw (this one I crashed, lol), and there was loud music, sword fights [with random objects like broomsticks, a pipe, a tree branch, one guy even dual wielded soup ladels], Simpsons/South Park/Family Guy/Chappelle's Show, and junk food.

Of course, I'm sure that not all private school people are like the ones i mentioned above.

I love public schools. I'm not allowed to talk to my counselor for another two weeks because he's "very busy." Oops. There goes my chance for any scholarship at a certain college...

^ Do I detect sarcasm?

I just started at a private school for the first day today, coming from a public. Its really different, uniforms, prayer, paying for textbooks/tuition, well mainatined....I havent decided which I like better yet, but my old public school was pretty bad...

Oh I'm with you... public pride as we say on our crew team, haha.

Yes, I know this is random, but I heart my public school. yes, it's very flawed, but I've met lots of diverse people who I wouldn't meet if I went to a private school

ROAR! :D

roars

Actually, my public high school's not all that bad. The building's rather badly maintained and overcrowded, yes, and we get textbooks from the 70's/80's, but it's a great school to go to. We have lots of fun. :D

I agree...

our school is falling apart and very old (we had to remove all the carpets b/c they were a health hazzard and couldnt afford new ones yet, so we're blessed with cement floors painted yellow).

but we have the most amazing teachers, and a lot of things available to us for such a small school (about 400 students)

ROAR!!

Who says you can't be the absolute top of your class, juggle a bunch of activities, and still have a LIFE? :D
