...We all get educated and stuff, right?

Yes, the best thing ever created since bacon.

@ClassOf2015HS yeah, in the way that too much bacon can kill you, bacon isn’t healthy, and that after so much one can get sick of it.

I actually do really like my public school:

Ive had mostly really great teachers (generally excepting the math department)

Our sports teams are amazing and therefore everyone has very high levels of school spirit/pride

We offer the most ap classes in our conference and are 11th in our state for ap index

Our music program has a strong history of receiving division I ratings and our top jazz band and our show choir are very good

We are the only school in our conference to give juniors and seniors “off campus” lunch

We are currently under construction on a multi-million dollar renovation that will include a new gorgeous auditorium (and a new scene shop and fine arts rehearsal areas) new admin offices a new student commons area and a new library (our athletic facilities need no renovation)

We do block scheduling which I love

Next years sophomores and freshmen are the first group to receive a “one to one” policy device (theyre all getting a new ipad 3) and we are the largest school in the state with this program

Ive met all sorts of amazing people from around the world and from all kinds of backgrounds (I had an english foreign exchange student my best friend was born in india and last year in band I sat by a girl from france)

The only things I dont like are the lanyards we have to wear and the fact that there are no windows (but thats changing with the renovations too)

So for me public schools really are cool but I go to school in a relatively wealthy very safe city

^That’s weird, all of the best teachers at my schools have been my math teachers. I do hate the school, but that’s probably because of all the homework. I would never consider going to a private school (paying for HS? LOL), so I guess it could be so much worse.

I go to a decent public school and it’s aight, no chance i’d be willing to pay almost college tuition to go to a high school. I mean it’s tougher to get into top schools from public schools, but it’s w/e. So far i’ve done fine in the admissions game.

My parents let me choose between going public or private and I chose public. The sports and music programs at my public school are just far more involved than any local privates.

Hellz yeah EHS. My high school is such an underdog; it gives me great pride
