I only listed here what I included in my apps. I've done a lot more, but, regrettably, couldn't include all of it in my apps.

My essays focused on my desire to return to Appalachia and fix the economic/political structures of my area, my autistic brother, and my cancer-surviving parents.

I was just wondering what you thought my chances are...since I am trying to get in from a public school. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Oh, and I also mentioned in my apps that I got to review an Idaho congressman’s stimulus plan from its infancy and that I’ve discussed with a candidate for Ohio Governor the state of Appalachian health and education programs.
Oh, and that I’m corresponding with a local mayor about health initiatives in Appalachia. :)

transfer chances are IMPOSSIBLE. good luck, but the competition is very stiff.

Depends on the college/major you applied to.

Btw…I successfully transferred to Cornell from a public college. I don’t think applicants from public colleges are at a disadvantage…especially when they come with a resume like yours ;)

Thanks. And Tboonepickens, I know that Cornell’s CAS only accepts about 14% of transfer applicants, that’s why I’m posting.
