Public Speaking/Communication/Speech classes to transfer to a csu?

I was only planning on applying to a few uc but I just now am considering applying to some csu too but I just haven’t taken a public speaking class and won’t have any room to take one in the spring. Will they allow me to take it in the summer before transferring or will they probably not consider me and want all classes done by the spring semester?

Honestly, I heard from a couple of people that they were rejected whenever they applied to CSU and were only accepted once they had finished the course. It’s a golden four, so very important. Find a way to make it work in the Winter or Spring; summer will definitely be too late. (I’m taking 19 units at the moment because I, too, have a lot to get done from now till spring! Make it work!)

Yeah, I can pretty much confirm that at least CSULB will almost 100% reject you without a public speaking/communications course. I applied to CSULB four times and was rejected three times! The only difference between the third and fourth attempt is that I finally had a speech class. The first three tries, I had a 4.0 and almost all the major prep completed. My GPA dipped slightly for the fourth attempt and I completed no additional major courses, so it had to be the fact that I didn’t complete that speech course. I wound up choosing another school; all those rejections got to me :stuck_out_tongue:
