howww do I get from ucla to ucsb....there's got to be another way besides greyhound...isnt there? =(

Check Amtrak or Metrolink. I know that the Amtrak goes from Westwood to Ventura, and there is a bus that goes from Ventura to UCSB two or three times daily. This is probably faster than Greyhound. Not sure about price though.

Try the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train. You can pick it up most easily at Union Station downtown or a couple of stations in the San Fernando Valley. I would suggest the Van Nuys Amtrak Station if you don’t have a car, since you can get there in one northbound trip without transfers on Metro Rapid Line 761 from Westwood.

The closest Amtrak station to USCB is actually the Goleta station. There are a couple of SBMTD bus lines that can take you directly from there to UCSB.

Take Amtrak and sign up for [this bus](http://map.ais.ucla.edu/go/1004075) that goes directly from UCLA to Van Nuys train station.
