<p>I'm sure any of the top publics (Berkeley, UCLA, Virginia, Michigan) would give just as equal a great education in this field and/or government/politics as the top privates. I would check out the websites for the departments of these schools. I'm sure lesser known publics have great departments too, but I'm not as familiar w/ them.</p>
