For my college search I've been looking at a lot of the top twenty universities, but I haven't considered the honors programs at public universities. When I toured my in state school a few days ago (university of Kansas), I learned that they have a pretty great honors program. I'm just really curious what people have to say about the honors programs at public universities compared to general classes at a more selective private university. Does anyone have any experience in an honors program that could tell me more about them? Any info specific to the KU honors program would be especially helpful. Thank you for any and all responses!

google “rankings public university honors programs.” there’s a ton of info.

yup. just look on college websites. the honors programs tend to promise to provide early registration, honors specific classes, more interactions with profs, library privileges, and a load of other stuff. definitely take a look at ku’s programs you might be pleasantly surprised!
