How many high schoolers do you know have been published in scientific journals?

How impressive is it really?

What about publishing just an abstract?

If an article is written fully its not uncommon, its very easy to publish nowadays through online publications, the real accomplishment is getting published in Science or Biology(?) or journals like that which are much harder to publish in.

Publishing an abstract is like writing a blog post, abstracts are very short and don’t really show what you have done or researched and what you found. I recommend if you are looking into this to publish the entire article because its not about prestige, but publishing right now is another stepping stone for career/resume building. It’s worth even publishing online even though its not as prestigious*.

*Don’t let prestige-chasing get the best of your academic valor.

My team’s looking for Science journals!
And yeah I understand, don’t worry I am literally in love with research esp the work I’m doing now <3
Thanks.

I’m asking because I come across as a very humanities oriented student but I really want to convey that I am a strong science student b/c I want to major in science in college

Then definitely get stuff published even online, but also try to do Prestigious Summer Programs idk what grade ur in but if ur a rising Junior there are a lot u can apply to that will solidify your appreciation for Sciences.
