<p>If you do research and have an opportunity to publish, does it matter for med school what author you publish at? I know that being first author is best, but do med schools view first author publications differently than second author publications?</p>
<p>Of course. However, just being able to have 1-2 publications under your belt will put you ahead of most premeds.</p>
