Pulling for ratings

I was really displeased a week ago when my counselor and I filled out the counselor part of the Common App together. When she was filling out the ratings (Top 1%, Top 5%, Top 10% in EC, Academic Achievement) and she gave me ratings that I didn't approve. What was worse was that she specifically asked whether I agreed to each of her ticks. Instead of objecting, I just submissively nodded to each one. :(

Now that I think of it, I should really have capitalized on that opportunity that may determine the final decision of an Admission Officer. But it's hard to disagree with her especially when you have modesty and humility deeply ingrained in yourself for a very long time. My school does not rank and I'm applying as an international applicant. Will the subjectiveness of my counselor's decision play a huge role in determining whether I get accepted? Or will Admission Officers turn to other unbiased measures?

Thanks!

The GC should not have needed to ask for your approval. She should be able to determine that info herself. If you’re in a country where other kids’ scores are confidential (as they are in the US), there would be no way for you to really know what your ratings are. You would need her indication.
