can i call them on monday and move my application to the regular decision pile?

this is due to the fact...I was extremely sick this week and unable to take SAT IIs...there's no way i can get into the school I applied ED to with my current SAT II scores

i think they will understand, best way to find out is just give them a call and find out what you can do. They’re pretty nice…

understand as columbia letting me pull out? hopefully…will def call on monday…but is it worth it? the sat scores i have right now are 700 lit and 630 for math I…def not good

I think you should read this thread first.

So make sure that when you call the admissions office, make sure to have the person leave their name and contact information, so you can have someone to refer to when you check if they have processed your request. In the case of a work-study or someone who does not have direct control over the admissions process picking up, it would be best if you could ask them to let you talk to someone who does. It would also be ideal if you could obtain some kind of physical evidence from them that shows that you have changed your status. The last thing you would want is for them to still think that you are applying ED and reject you because of an incomplete or unpolished application.

katie those scores are not lethal…i mean, the 630 is a bit weak but it won’t be a HUGE factor…but it’s up to you - you should apply as confident as you can, and if pushing it off to RD makes you more confident then do it.

Remember that if you get deferred ED you are automatically in the RD pool.

thanks for all the help…
eclestist…i will make sure to get some physical evidence if i change…thank you
philolexian & soap- I have to apply as an internationl student requesting aid…i heard that’s almost impossible anyway…so not great SAT II scores will not help

on the other hand…a coach is recruiting me…think i should still go ED?
