Pullups and NOT Chinups?

Man, I've been practicing for a good two weeks on increasing my pullups (palms facing me) and I just re-looked at the USMA website and they're requiring your palms facing away!

This is a huge blow =/ I have to restart my total training.

Do they allow you to do either way?

nope. follow the directions explicitly.

Relax man, pullups are easier. Make sure you use the muscles in your entire back. To facilitate this you should probably lean back a little bit as you're pulling up. Keep practicing and it'll be a piece of cake come time for your pt test.

when training - do as many as you can normally then do 2 sets of 12-15 negatives to really feel the burn. you'll be rockin and rollin in no time!

oh and do 4 counts down on each rep***

Thanks, I can only do two right now :( I think the MINIMUM is 3, but I'm shooting for the average (8).

Any other suggestions?
