Purchase of CB's old PSAT tests- no answer keys???

I wasn't too sure where to post this to get an answer so I apologize for posting same query twice.

I've read CC posts about the best books, etc. to study to prepare for psat's. This may be a stupid question, but when I purchased the old PSAT tests from CB, I assumed the answer keys would be part of the purchase. Apparently not, according to my D. I can understand the benefits of practicing the old tests, but without the answers, how does a student know what their strengths and weaknesses are? Or, are the answer keys available separately? What am I missing here? Help please.

I read somewhere that if you e-mail them and inform them of your purchase; they will send answer keys upon request.

email collegeboard and ask for the answers to the psats you’re looking for. you may want to include order # too: store_help@collegeboard.com

Thanks to both of you. I just sent CB an email with order stats. Isn’t it ludicrous that they send you the tests without the answer keys–or is it just me???

^CB is going green. Saving paper. Saving trees. Woo hoo!

I don’t know :stuck_out_tongue: It’s rather annoying isn’t it? I just sent them an email too. Let me know when you hear back!

LOL . Was in the same situation . I believe it took 2 weeks for me to receive the answer keys.

Sorry for delay in response. I got the PSAT CB answer keys by email appx. 45 min. after I sent the “urgent” email requesting them. Think it came from call center overseas. I gave all the order dets and used the same email in link under xiaojingteng’s response. I was impressed, but still don’t get the rationale behind not sending them in first place. It’s a one-page key w/ans for the 2 tests–if you get the Wed and Sat versions in a given year.

This may be a stupid question, but I have been wondering this.

Where can you buy old CB PSAT tests? Or, rather old CB SAT tests? I checked the CB store, but couldn’t find anything.

^You can’t buy old SAT tests from the CB. Here is the [CB PSAT store link](<a href=“Store App”>Store App). What they are selling are actual test booklets from surplus production, so the answers aren’t included, but I have to admit, they could have a web site link available after ordering.

As an additional note, the following appears in the pdf file of the answers:

So, the schools should really make these available. BTW, many public schools have tons of leftover PSAT booklets (which they usually throw away) after the test. That’s where I get mine :)

Thank you so much fignewton. I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile.

Now, one more question for everyone, since I don’t want to start a new thread for a simple question.

So far, I’ve run out of Collegeboard SAT tests before the three found online, but I’m going to save them until the test date comes closer.

My essay writing skills are satisfactory, and I’m not too apprehensive about that. Would you recommend using old PSATs (since they’re more realistic), compared to the Princeton Review practice SATs to study for the multiple choice sections?

^Yeah, it’s a general rule that you should use CB materials since they are the makers of the test. Using a test from a company that tries to imitate CB tests doesn’t make much sense.

Hey eifc7 Can you please contact me by PM??

Hello, College board does not sell the past psat tests anymore. Can you please share yours with me for a price? How many years worth of exams do you have?
Thanks
