Hello!
I am a Junior in High School and have been doing my college search for the past month and these colleges have caught my attention because they’re great schools with great engineering programs. I noticed their stats and am wondering if I have a chance?
Some of my stats:
11th Grade
30 ACT
4.2 GPA at end of Junior year for weighted, but my unweighted might be 3.6 at the end of the year
2 main leadership positions
100+ volunteer hours
Also, a worry that i’m having is that I got 2 c’s in an elective, but the elective course doesn’t have anything to do with my intended major for mechanical engineering.
If you are instate for OSU you’ll get in for sure
I live in ohio really close to campus and mostly everyone I know goes there and their stats are way lower than yours you’ll definately get in !
Thanks so much guys! But if I live in Indiana, will that give me a less chance for OSU? @pschnee
Take note that Purdue looks at an unweighted Core GPA–> http://www.admissions.purdue.edu/apply/coregpa.php Check it out, cause if the C’s in electives aren’t core classes ( I assume they aren’t) it’ll improve your considered GPA
@RocketsandMoons8 Less of a chance, yes, but you should still probably get in so I wouldn’t worry about it.
@futureuniversity I didn’t know that! Thanks!
@pschnee Awesome! Thank you.
