Purdue 2011 Presidential/Trustees Scholarships

Today, February 15th, is supposedly the last day for Purdue to be handing out its university-wide merit scholarships for incoming freshmen. I, as I'm sure a lot of you were, was disappointed to not receive a letter. I'm wondering if maybe they just have to be postmarked by the 15th and not actually received? I don't know. Either way, I'm getting pretty desperate. Here are my stats:

Purdue Calculated GPA (unweighted, only math, science, and english courses) ≈ 3.7
Unweighted cumulative GPA ≈ 3.7
Weighted cumulative GPA ≈ 4.1
Junior fall semester GPA = 4.62
Junior spring semester GPA = 4.67
SAT score: 800 Math, 680 Critical Reading, 650 Writing
AP tests: 5- AP Physics C (Mechanics). 5- Calculus BC. 5- AP Statistics. 4- AP English Literature and Composition (damn english...)
All from Junior year^^
2011 AIME qualifyer
two-time JETS varsity team member
2011 academic math team member

I got two C's in high school. Both from Spanish, though

The criteria for merit scholarships include high academic achievement, especially toward your prospective major (engineering for me), and community involvement and leadership.

Tell me what you think. Is there a chance I'll get something in the next few days??

Honestly, I’m not sure how this happened to me either. I have similar stats and my friends with weaker stats received $8,000/year. My intended major is engineering I’m praying something comes in the mail. If I don’t get this scholarship, going out-of-state might just be cheaper. Good luck to you

What out of state schools would be cheaper than Purdue in-state without the $8,000? Without the scholarship, you would still be paying only about twenty thousand a year for tuition, room and board, and an excellent education. I know it would be disappointing not getting the scholarship, but you won’t find anything nearly that cheap out of state for a comparable engineering degree.

unless an out of state school gave you a merit scholarship, which they should! IU gave me $9,000 automatically. and nothing from purdue. sounds like a load of BS if you ask me
