Purdue EA vs Purdue RD

My current stats are
Sat- cr500/math700/wr620(9)
3.6 GPA … high upward trend (soph 3.15uw - junior 4.0 uw) yes… it was miracle, but the cumulative is still not good.

I really want to go to Purdue, but my SAT score is a bit low compare to other engineering applicants.

At this point, I will take Nov SAT to maximize my chance(hoping to get over 1950)
However, many people said that if you apply earlier, you will definitely have a better chance.

SO…DO I HAVE A CHANCE TO GET IN WITH THIS STATS?? OR SHOULD I WAIT FOR RD SO THAT I CAN GET A BETTER SAT SCORE?

I would just wait for RD since I don’t think Purdue’s early action boosts chances too much. Usually only restrictive early action or early decision boosts chances. However the benefits of applying early are that you are considered for Honors college and increased financial aid. So if you don’t care about the honors college and you think you can improve SAT’s then I would just do RD. I’m also applying to Purdue early action along with early decision at another school :slight_smile:
