What are my chances for Purdue Engineering?

You seem to be on the right track. If you keep up good grades from now until you apply and raise your GPA, your GPA will be set. Your SAT scores are okay, but it would be good if you broke the 2000 mark (LOL, but 10 pts off is no big deal).

Your EC’s have a wide range, but none of them show an interest in your intended major. The summer program might help (and you might be able to get a LoR from someone at the program.)

I would say Purdue is a high match. Good luck! And thanks for chancing me! :)

Thank you, can I get some more opinions?

Keep working to get those grades and scores up and continue those extracurricular activities, those will keep you going. Try to get close to a 4.0 and work hard on your SATs, otherwise you seem like you’re one track!

Chance me please:

Thanks, I am a junior though so there is little left that I can do except keep getting good grades.

Can someone else please chance me.

The SAT score is in the top 75th percentile. I really don’t need to bring that up too much. GPA on the other hand… yeah, but there is little I can do. I just want to know my chance, not the obvious things that will help my chances.

I got into Purdue engineering about a mouth ago with a lower sat score. And your rest of stats seems better than mine as well. Be sure to write a good essay, and you will be in. Good luck!

Thank you very much xixibai. Do you mind telling me where you are from and if you have any hooks (URM, athlete, etc)?

I am an international student form China. And I don’t have any hooks.(I don’t think asian is UMR…but honestly I am not sure) I love my major, and I talked a lot about it in my essay. I guess that’s why I got in.

URM…not UMR…,sorry

International is easier, but thanks for your input. I just need to write a killer essay and hope for the best
