purdue essay

hey everyone! i had a question about purdue's application essay 2012. In the conversation one- "Imagine being able to join a conversation between any two people, living or deceased. Describe that conversation. Identify the people and topic and express what you were able to contribute and/or what you learned." Should we write it in present or past form? How would i like describe it an essay?

I think you need to make your own decisions on those questions. Your choices on how to write your essay are opportunities to make it your own, a little bit different than everybody else’s. There is no “right” way to write the essay, except that it has to be about you joining a conversation between two people of your choosing.
