hello
I have been accepted to Purdue for Fall 15 for CS(international student)
PURDUE IS DEFINELTY My top choice

I have few questions before I commit

1-how are internship and placement opportunities and reputation? They are pretty gr8 according to my research

2-how is the rigour of CS course? I hear engineering is
As I want time to explore other aspects of US and have time for activities like app development

Don't want to be in a rat race like environment (indians will understand) eg-not like Georgia tech that's not for me

3-why is 4year graduation rate so low I know it has significantly improved but still?!

Thanks

At public schools the grad rate is often low because all sorts of students are accepted, a wide range of abilities because public colleges exist to educate the students in their state. They don’t presort people out except by the bottom end of admission standards. They let you in even if you don’t have money for all 4 years. So many find they can’t continue to pay for it and leave for lack of funds. They might work a bit and come back and finish later. First I suggest you use 6 year rates. And you can’t expect the grad rate to be like an Ivy where the entire student body is presorted by ability in the top couple percentile of students in the entire country and most of those are very well off financially.

What about other questions I got your point
