Purdue Information Systems (out-of-state) vs UIUC Econ/minor CS (In-state)

recently I have been accepted into the Purdue for Information Systems and Econ at UIUC (I plan on minoring in CS to buff my resume). Which should I choose? UIUC is a hell of a lot cheaper than Purdue for me, but I know Purdue IS is a lot better than Econ in LAS.

As a current student in CS at UIUC, I don’t know if I would count on the CS minor being easily available here. A lot of the intro courses (ex. 125, 173, 225) are very very overcrowded and a lot of students struggle to get into them, even CS majors. You could still try to get into these courses, but getting approved for a minor and getting into the courses needed is getting difficult. If you’re sure that you want to study Econ at UIUC, involve yourself in ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) and other coding clubs to build some skills.
