I’m planning on transferring to either Purdue or DePaul next semester. I was accepted to both universities, but cannot decide what would work best in the long run. Purdue will definitely cost more because I’m out of state, and I got a minor scholarship for DePaul (about 6k a year). Is the computer science program at Purdue that much better than DePaul? I already have $20k in student loans, I’m not sure if I can afford to go to Purdue for 2 (possibly 3 depending on how many of my credits transfer) more years and rack up another $60-70k of debt. DePaul is still expensive, but I could even commute if it comes down to it.
Should money even be this big of a factor? Or should I just look into whatever has the better program for my major?
