Okay, So here's the situation.
I got accepted into:
Purdue University
Penn State University Park
Syracuse University
Bryant University (with a renewable scholarship of 12000$ per annum)
Bentley University
Ohio State University
And waiting for some more decisions to come but these 6 are the priority.

Now, I am highly confused which one to select amongst all these for a Major in Global Business Administration. I am concerned about all the factors such as ranking, campus environment, quality of teaching etc etc.
Please kindly suggest me the pros and cons of these universities and which one should be my best choice.
Thanks

These are the rankings for the top business schools for 2014. Hence, I’ll say Ohio State is your best bet followed by Purdue, Penn State, Syracuse, Bentley then Bryant. You might as well want to consider the reputation of these schools as well. For instance, reputation wise I’d go for either Syracuse or Penn State for business. I am currently a freshman in Syracuse and will strongly recommend the business school (Whitman School of Management) to anyone. But again this is just my personal opinion, feel free to go with what works best in your situation.
Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot tochukwuo
And its great to hear that you are from Syracuse. Cheers to Orange
I don’t know, I want to consider other factors as well apart from the ranking. I don’t know why but I am getting Bryant or Bentley as a suggestion by my counselor. Any help regarding that? I am much more inclined towards Purdue or Ohio State and surely Syracuse after your suggestion.
Thanks

Well, I’m not too sure how good the business program in Ohio State and Bryant are, but I know for a fact that Bentley specializes in the business field. Are you still considering Penn State or not? I am aware that they are also very good academically although they’ve got a terrible reputation now.

And this is why rankings are misleading. Purdue, Penn State, Syracuse, and Ohio State are fine universities, and all well known thanks to sports. Bentley and Bryant are not as famous, but they are outstanding business schools. Bryant is highly regarded for global business, featuring seven different international business majors, and a prominent US-China Institute, one of the first of its kind. Bryant is also strong in many other business majors, and heavily recruited by major companies. Big-4 accounting/consulting firms love Bryant grads. Fidelity Investments has a major campus right across the street from Bryant. Guess why. Business legend Jack Welch, former head of GE, has famously said that some of the best executives he has worked with went to schools like Bryant. Bentley is very similar to Bryant. You need to check out these schools thoroughly for fit. As a fraction of the size, they are very different from those giant schools on your list.

I would also think about the following factors:

First, what type/size of school do you feel most comfortable in and will give you the best chance to succeed? There is a big difference between Bryant/Bentley and the huge state schools. Do you want a school with big-time sports? Do you like the intimacy of smaller classes? One is not better or worse, but they are different and you need to get a sense of where you can thrive. BTW, we looked at Bentley for my S and although he didn’t go we were very impressed with the school.

Secondly, I would think about where you want to settle and where the strength of the different alumni networks and recruiting base of each school is.

Third, finances are always an issue in these decisions. Consider the money aspect so you don’t graduate with a ton of debt.

There is no one “right choice”. You have to made the decision that will work best for you and your family.

Well as far as I consider, I still want to keep Penn State as an open option for me. Yeah, I am well aware about the incidence which got Penn State’s reputation in jeopardy.

Chardo
Thanks a lot. This is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. I would still say that I will prefer Bryant over Bentley because of the scholarship offer I received. However, the only problem is the reputation of these schools. Well, a vast majority of people haven’t even ever heard about Bryant.

Thanks for your concern,
Well, as far as I consider myself, I am a reserved personality. Not completely introvert, but yeah I take some time to dissolve with new people. So, considering these factors I will be much more inclined towards a school with smaller class and less number of people.
As far as finances are considered, all the state university’s and Bryant are much within my financial range.
The only problem I am now dealing with is reputation. Living in India, a vast majority of people pursue their education in the United States. One thing that every individual looks forward to is a well reputed school. So yeah, rankings do matter.

Reputation according to whom? Do you intend to take your degree back to India? I have no idea what schools are reputable there or how important that is. If the reputation of your school in the opinion of those in India is important, then you need to run your list by some trusted people there.

As for reputation here, again, according to whom? All the schools on your list are very good. Bryant may be less known to the public (thanks to being a small school in Rhode Island), but its reputation in the business world is excellent. As you may have determined, I am a Bryant grad. My group of friends all got great jobs at graduation. At this time, they are:

VP of Tax for Fortune 500 company
VP of major office furniture mfg
VP of Wall Street firm
VP of sales for aircraft manufacturer
CEO of major aircraft parts distributor
VP of cargo for major airline
Tax attorney
Principal of large insurance agency
President of large payroll firm
General manager of a large Hyatt
VP of real estate development firm
High end commercial realtor

Bryant’s reputation has served us very well.

Business Week just released its rankings and Bentley’s #20 in the country, far above the rest. And they poll not just what Dean’s at other schools think about you but employers too.

In New England, they’re known as The Three B’s–Bryant, Bentley, and Babson. All similar schools with excellent reputations for business. Many kids apply to all three.

Chardo,
Thank you so much for your concern and for your kindness of answering all my queries.
Its great to hear from a Bryant alumni directly. Before you, I had very little information about the university.
And as far as I consider, I do intend to take my degree back to India only. So, I was just looking for a university which is well reputed in the fields of education and business altogether. For instance, it should astonish everyone to hear that I am an alumni of “that” university. And as I mentioned in one of the post above, my counselor is inclined towards Bryant or Bentley only.
Can you also provide me with some insight about both the internal as well as external environment of Bryant? Like the friendliness of the people. I have always wanted to study in a university with a large and beautiful campus.
