Which university is better for undergraduate industrial engineering? Purdue or uiuc
purdue is ranked 4th. (Idk about uiuc). I want you to give me a holistic opinion based on rankings as well as the student life and enjoyment on campus
I don’t know that major, but I wouldn’t pick based on grad school rankings necessarily. I would look more at your holistic factors overall.
Both are ABET accredited and that’s what counts. http://main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx
D visited both when looking for a university to study engineering two years ago. For two schools that look very similar on paper, she had very different opinions concerning each of them. Long story short, she loved Purdue and disliked UIUC. I am not stating this to sway you. Academically they are both tremendous schools to study all types of engineering, however, you need to live there for at least 4 years and I would encourage you to visit each if you can. They are only about two hours apart. If you can’t visit decide using other factors such as financial aid or perhaps an interest. The difference scholastically I doubt would be enough to make a recommendation one way or the other.
Indeed. Go to the one you like best. Your post-graduation prospects will not be affect by your choice (more by what you do).
