Hi, I’ve been admitted to both UTexas Austin and Purdue for computer science. Regardless of the tuition fees, I understand that choosing UTexas Austin would be a no-brainer. Is UT Austin worth the extra 10k? Does UT Austin have friendly environment for International students like Purdue does?

Also I would like to ask about job opportunities at both schools after graduation. I’m an international student and I would like to extend my time in the US. I’ve been here for 4 years already.

I would say go to UT Austin. Purdue has an OK CS school(not even top 10), but UT’s is more highly ranked and is located in Austin where there are many big computer companies.
