Applied for Financial Aid?: Yes
Intended Major: First year engineering (Computer Engineering)
State (if domestic applicant): Florida
School Type: Public
Ethnicity: Asian Indian
Gender: Male

Reflection

Strengths:
-My course load will amount to 17 APs and a certification in AutoCAD by the time I graduate. I definitely present myself as someone who on paper is willing to push themselves.
-My long term commitment to the Debate club also adds to it. I basically fixed the club over the past 4 years.
-Most important factor was probably my out of school activities and volunteering. All of which had some engineering or computer science aspect to it. Kinda shows my dedication to my major.
Weaknesses: Unweighted GPA could have been much higher, but I failed to perform freshman year. It took me a year of B’s to really mature as a person and understand my life goals. Other than that SAT I and II could always be “better”, but it worked out for me regardless.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I definitely showed my commitment to the field of engineering in my essays and EC. I would say consistent and dedicated focus to your intended major and the subject area can really aid in your decision.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted:UCF (safety), Rejected: Georgia Tech

General Comments:
If you aren’t a senior and you are reading this, push yourself and don’t waste your time. Study for your SAT and SAT II’s and when it comes down to your decisions learn to accept that it’s all based on what you put in.

Strengths: Strong high school preparation. Really connected links between education, employment and future goals. Common App essay was unique and very personal.
