Liberal Arts

Ooh congrats

Will you attend Purdue @2020classx

@skyblade1234

Not sure, I’m still waiting for other colleges. I also got accepted to IU-B which is more liberal than Purdue.

I haven’t received any email from Purdue yet, but on my application summary page, the “Application Status” has been updated to “Decision Made” and the “Decision” is “Offer Admission.” However, the “Decision Letter” is still “Not available at this time.” Hope I will get some Financial Aid award

Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: No idea but I hear it is a fairly easy school to get into
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: University of Miami, and University of Pittsburgh

Guys I’m so confused. :frowning: . I applied to Purdue on 31st January this year and I think my essays were great, my scores are much higher than the average and my grades have been stellar. I don’t understand why I’m being waitlisted other than the fact that I applied a day before the deadlines :frowning:
My friend in the year below got accepted with much lower grades and SAT scores and he’s only in year 12! (grade 11).

Overseas Student.
Course - Mech Eng
Essays - 8.5/10
SAT 1 - 2220
SAT 2 - 800 in Math 2, 750 in Physics
GPA - British curriculum - I achieved five A grades in AS (the highest possible and highest in the country)

I am very dissapointed, but I think I will opt in after reviewing my decision with the admissions officers… :frowning: :frowning:

@smashhighschool you applied really late. From what I know, places for krannert and engineering get filled up by mid-Jan. the only thing that has kept you in wait list are your phenomenal scores. I think you have a good shot. I did the A level system as well

@smashhighschool I assume probably because the spaces of your intended major have been already filled, or because they think your stats are too high and you aren’t likely to attend if accepted. If you really want to attend Purdue, you should email or call the admissions office to tell them about it.

General Comments : Very grateful to be granted admission to one of the top aero universities in the world. All the best to those who have or have not receive their decisions.

Thanks @Klossy I contacted them a few days back. Hopefully they can do something for me, they said the main reason was because I applied so late. They said that even though I was a great candidate, it was simply that all seats had been filled by February 1st.

what is the gpa requirement for us that who have been accepted for senior year?

Does anyone know when the supplemental department scholarships will be awarded (especially engineering). Has anyone received this scholarship? I need this urgently to make a decision. Thank you so much

Just wanted to know if all decisions are out and if the seats are full for FYE ? Is there a chance of someone still getting in ? Thanks

Can anyone please tell me if it is too late to apply to purdue at this time of the year? I have been rejected to all of the schools, and I am in a bad position now. It is rolling admission, but I am not sure about anything. Please, pretend you are saving someone.
