I just heard from another parent that if you get accepted to UIUC and Purdue University, Purdue will match the tuition same as UIUC. (we’re from Illinois). Is this true? Can anyone validate this?
If that’s true, it’s news to me. I’m from Illinois. My oldest daughter was accepted to Purdue College of Engineering in December 2012 (entering Fall 2013). She was offered a scholarship that would have put Purdue tuition very similar to UIUC. My younger daughter was accepted to Purdue College of Engineering in December 2014 (entering Fall 2015). She was not offered any scholarships or tuition reduction. Both chose UIUC.
