I was admitted to Purdue and Cornell, and I’m currently deciding which school to attend for engineering. With Purdue, I received the Beering scholarship (full ride undergrad and graduate school), but it’s so close to home and I really dislike it here in Indiana. My parents can definitely afford Cornell, but it’s the paying for graduate school part I’m worried about. Cornell is such a good school, though, and Ithaca is so beautiful. Any advice?
Congratulations!!!
So, my dd is a Purdue engineering freshman. Dh and I are Cornell grads. DH was an engineer undergrad.
IMO, Purdue engineering is amazing. No way I would tell you to give up your Beering scholarship for Cornell.
I will private message you…
Even if you were full pay at both schools, I would suggest that you consider Purdue.
They are both great schools. My daughter is going to go to Cornell for engineering so I admit to some bias… but a full ride to Purdue is an incredible opportunity! I can’t imagine passing that up! Wow!
@mom2two girls: Full ride for both undergraduate & graduate school.
