Purdue VS Delaware VS Temple

Hello,

I am confused about how to make the final decision. I major in Hospitality and Tourism Management and I got offers from Delaware, Purdue and Temple, 2012 Fall.

Delaware: From 2012 Fall, this program will be changed in one year. I think the time of studying is short.

Purdue: Purdue emphasizes much on the research, and I will not want to get PHD degree or be a teacher. And because of lots of researches, I may not have time or have opportunities to do internship. I think internship, especially my major, is beneficial for me to find jobs after graduating from the university.

Temple: The location is very good. And class time is after 4.00pm. I can have sufficient time to do internships. However, after graduating, if I do not find jobs, I will have to go back to China. The problem is that Purdue and Delaware have higher reputation than Temple in China, especially Purdue University (its rank is much higher).

Hence, it is really difficult for me to make the decision. I hope that you can offer me some suggestion. Thank you very much.

If you review the TOP 10 colleges/university’s for your major,

Purdue is in the TOP 10 and ranks up there with UNLV and Cornell.

Temple and Delaware are much further down the list.

Also, remember that Purdue has tremendous name recognition in the USA and abroad.

Just some free facts and advice.

Best of Luck to you!

To back up 1811x2’s comments, Purdue has had a top ranked program for many years. Internships are a required element of the program and the new Marriott Hall (funded in part by a gift from the Marriott Foundation) is a beautiful facility…
